3D Printing

Learn how to create and design objects in Fusion360 and TinkerCAD. These can be used to include in games you make or turn into real objects with a 3d printer

Whether its something you found on Thiniverse or designed yourself. Learn about how to prepare your files and care for a 3d printer so you can print objects successfully

Have your Printing Induction and you want to use the printer. Simply book an attendance and use the printer as much as you like. There may be a queue. Large objects cost extra as they can take 24 hours or more to print. We will try to print them during the week to be collected on Saturdays.

New to Computers and Code? We will step you though everything you need to know, from installing the software on your computer to writing and loading your first code onto a micorcontroller. We will start with the basics till you get familiar.

An open source Operating System or OS that runs almost the whole internet and smart devices. Learn how to put this powerful operating system on your computer without loosing all your files or windows in the process. You can start leveraging the power of linux and all the free software avaliable. We will give you a crash course in setting up your system and how to use it daily.

Build Racing Drone

Lets put together our own drone. Learn to build and maintain a your flying machine. We will provide all the parts

Build a robot arm

Whether its to fold your laundry or just push things over on your desk it would be nice to have an extra hand around.

Model Rocket Building

In this class you will build a rocket and understand basic aerodynamics, structures and thrust. A date will be organised with a local rocket club for launches.

Crappy Robot Wars

Yes thats right. But you have to make your own!

Use old or broken remote control car, cardboard, lego, milk cartons or whatever you want to craft your own robot. Bring your parts along and hotglue everything together.

We will supply the tools and some parts you can use during the competition (motors, battery holders, controllers, etc)

Restrictions:

  • Nothing that spins (blades, chainsaws etc)
  • $40 of components limit. Its ment to built of scrap parts.
